CUNARD PRINCESS... The End
Today, the former CUNARD PRINCESS was beached at Aliaga, Turkey for scrapping after two years laid up in Greece.
Here are two excellent photos of her whilst serving as a rest and recreation ship off Saudi Arabia for coalition forces during Desert Storm, taken 27 Feb 1991, from the U.S. National Archives collection.

Re: CUNARD PRINCESS... The End
The second photo, it is a good job she was not in US waters that amount of smoke emissions would have cost a few quid in fines. They are scrapping cruise ships at some rate these day.

Re: CUNARD PRINCESS... The End
I was there during Desert Storm as a Purser working with AAFES - US Army & Air Force Exchange Service as Chief Cashier/Accountant. I spent five years on board Cunard Princess 1987-1991.
