Thumbs up Re: MV Alderney Coast

    # 1 for Bob.
M.V.Alderney Coast (ON 167630)was built in 1940 as Channel Queen. She was ALDERNEY COAST from 1960-1966.After a succession of Greek owners, the 36 year old coaster met her end in 1976,when,named as Mastro Costas, while on a voyage from Greece to Lagos,Nigeria with a cargo of pipes and tomato paste, she sprang a leak and after an engine breakdown she was towed to Monrovia and being abandoned by her owners was beached west of the port(21/2/76)
