PS Waverley update.
Waverley's new boilers were fired up for the first time earlier this week
The test was successful, and her paddle wheels turned for the first time in over a year.
It's doubtful due to the virus if she sail with passengers onboard this year.

Re: PS Waverley update.
There is still much work to complete before Waverley can undertake sea trials.
Further updates will follow on whether Waverley will be able to carry passengers
this year. If we can return her to service it will be for a short period on the Clyde only.

Re: PS Waverley update.
Waverley reminds me of an episode of Fool and Horses.
They are sitting in the bar Trigger showing of his medal. What you got the medal for Trigger? Had the same broom fo twenty years, same broom for twenty years was the incredulous reply.
Well I have had so many head repacepants and numerous new handles, but it is still the same broom replies Trigger.

Re: PS Waverley update.
PS Waverley sailed from the James Watt Dock to Custom House Quay, Greenock under her own steam.
For pictures of her new boilers look @ Inverclyde Now.

Re: PS Waverley update.
#5. Custom House Quay as think have said before Vic brings back many memories for me. As used to lie alongside there when divers were coming out of decompression. Those who had been living in the chambers for a long time were sent back to Portsmouth via British Rail with a label somewhere. On the body saying anyone finding body. In distress not to assume he was drunk as had just come out of decompression and to phone a certain number. An ideal alibi after a night in the local pub which they financed and all bands in attendance to celebrate their return to normalcy. just one of many memories. Cheers JWS.

Waverley’s wake on the Clyde once again
Waverley is paddling again for the first time in 22 months. Sincere thanks to those who have supported her and worked hard to save the last seagoing paddle steamer in the World!
