Often wondered whether they were friends, married, emigrating or coming home and what happened to them.

I often wonder what will happen to all the junk that I still have from my time at sea, probably my kids will keep it in a box in the garage, might get them to toss it into the sea, but then can't do that these days.

We often go around some of the country markets om a Sunday just to have a look.
There are always stall with bit of 'junk' for sale.
It is quite amazing what you see, so much stuff that at one time was very personal to some one.
Obviously at some point the family decided to get rid of it, maybe get a bob or two for it as well.

Hi Ted.
Don't think the teaching Hospital would like it, me laying there and the teaching Drs saying to the young ones, "Oh That box, he was at sea many years ago, it's all his memories."
We are slipping a few thing to our son and daughter, they think some of our old stuff is cool.

Here in Victoria we have a number of places by the name of 'The Mill'.
Full of thousands of articles from thimbles to motor bikes, tea cups to wedding dresses.,
All for sale, some very cheap, others you can bargain for.
Have seen medals and all manner of service clothing as well, you can spend hours in there.
