Re: Cargo Ship
Hi ,
I agree with Jim, I think because of the timing it was probably the ED ship that was on the Liverpool /West Africa run. I have a book that I cannot find right now that may have helped on the age of the ship and the timing.

Re: Cargo Ship
See one of Brians ships of same name has some foreign call sign. Think between the year 60 and 65 all British ships would of had a 4 letter call sign beginning with G during that period of time. JS

Re: Cargo Ship
ED's had one called the Daru, think she was actually built for Paddy Hendersons though?

Re: Cargo Ship
I checked the book that I have, ED's did have one called the Daru, she was built in 1958, and was mostly on a run from Liverpool to West Africa. E D's had thirty three ships in 1964, seems like a long time ago. Time gone forever when Liverpool and Birkenhead docks were buzzing every day with ships in and out
