    Very good film Cappy.
A very posh version of the old Beechfield I was on as a Coal Burning Fireman in 1952.
    Good memories,
    Cheers

Ah! those domino hatchboards, we never needed a gym!

Not that we needed a gym deep sea either with 18 derricks and 36 guys (not men Marian!) to adjust and preventers to unkink

Enjoyed the nostalgia there Cappy, the only thing I recall. Was long hours and not time to shave or Dhabi at sea, those guys all looked too smart and clean, 4 on 4 off at sea, if you were lucky, boots off and in the pit, or perhaps I just sailed with a manly crew? . Those hatch boards were bloody heavy as I recall, struggle to lift one now, kt
