Atlantic Star At Seaforth.
Interesting but apart from this story lots of other good pictures.I don't understand why my stories don't hit lately,Vernon or Chris will put it up I hope.

Some good photos in the gallery in that post.
ACL only used appointed pilots in Liverpool of which, I think, there were only 2 or 3. One of them had a brother who was a Southampton pilot and both the Liverpool and Southampton one were always at great pains to impress on you there importance and skills in piloting the Passenger ships in Southampton and the ACL ships in Liverpool.
Wonder if ACL are still using appointed pilots only, a system that should have died out years ago.

She is still in Terry just seen her a couple of hours ago.Went out with the wife to the Red Squirrell for lunch its on the Formby by-pass through the woods its the opposite way to the docks but the one way system we have to go that way to go under the flyover to head north.
