Default Change of date of birth ... ?

I just noticed this on the profile editing page .... "Please contact the Administrator if your date of birth has changed."

I could change my name by deed poll, but my birthday? How could that be achieved?

However, a person can have, effectively, two dates of birth; my wife has.

She was born in a small village on the coastal plain of Ecuador. There are two rainy season on the equator and during them is is often impossible to get in or out, even on horseback. There can be mud several feet deep on the access routes for weeks on end.

The government requires all births to be registered within a month, or whatever .... Failure to do so results in a fine. It is common practice, therefore, once the heavens have stopped hissing down on them, that proud new parents go to the city and register a birth giving a date which avoids a financial penalty.

My wife was born in November but her officail month of birth is February.

So you see, we are not the only place which suffers from idiots in government.

I wish I could change my date of birth, from 1935 to 1995, so I could start all over again,
    Very interesting information that.
I was in Manta in Equador, in January this year.
    Cheers
    Brian.

Is that January 5 or May 1, Lou? If I recall, it's May 1 isn't it? Makes you a Taurus, like me.

    Hi Lou
I think there were many like you who changed their ages to get to Sea,Army etc!
In those days they never seemed to check very much and just took your word for it,mind you I suppose when all the Men they could get were needed, they also just turned a blind Eye!
    Cheers

And so many very young ones went to War to give for their Countries, not I suppose really knowing what lay ahead for them!

A wonderful birthday present you were, I'm sure Lou. I'm 5th May and my daughter is 6th May so she was my present. Will be thinking of you Thursday.

    Cheers!

One little difference Jaycn, you can wear a dress if you wish!!

In local hospitals there is a notice which says,

" we will ask you often your name and date of birth. If at any time this changes plesae notify us'.?????????????????
