alf I think no one will believe this mebbes rob could confirm this is poss .....but on a tramp iwas on we took stores from another ship same company........in a jar of pickled onions there was little things swimming round nobody believed it until they saw it it was thought impossible but I saw it with my own eyes.......thought vinegar wold kill any thing ......also from the same lot maggots in the cereals but you couldn't see them till you put the conny onny boiled milk on.....hard to believe but true regards cappy
Alf thanks for telling us. I have a breathing machine which takes distilled water. I was told to change the water every day, but as it is 4 dollars a bottle from the local garage I was letting it go a couple of days before changing. There are maybe others on the site with sleep abpnia which the machine is for. At the test for such they reckoned I stopped breathing 61 times in the hour, with the machine I use at nights at home have got it down to 3 times which is better than the average person they reckon. However the thought of weird thingies going up the nose has me thinking. Cheers John Sabourn
Turbatrix Aceti or Vinegar Eels are a type of nematode that inhabits vinegars. They very tiny, and if you can’t see very close you might just miss them. The best way to see them is to hold a sample of them in a clear see through container to the light and look for the tiny worms wiggling. Vinegar Eels reach the size about 1/8 inch making and are an aquatic nematode. This means that the Vinegar Eels are quite happy living in a water environment like a fish tank for some time until your pets eat them. But, to truly live and reproduce they need to live in cider vinegar. The female Vinegar Eel give birth up to 45 young every 8-10 days, and live for an average of 10 months. Vinegar Eels do well at temperatures from 60-90 degrees. But, room temperatures 68-85 +/- a few degrees are best for optimum reproduction rates.

Though on 2nd thoughts most of the beasties referred to could well be used to describe the politicians I was referring to in the original post.

Hi Shipmates, politicians are very hard to exterminate, much harder to kill than rats or cockroaches, they have special police to watch over them, and if your lucky to catch one alone. you will get a very long time in jail if you try to hurt one....
ihave told the tale of the viniger beatles in the past and have never been believed and it has been a bone of contention as I know what I saw .....really pleased that it is now confirmed ......cos if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes I wouldn't have believed it .......well done rob......pleased to say of course no one would eat them and of course the chief steward ....said he could see nothing but wouldn't eat one of the pickles......I have no comment on the cheese but I swear it moved .....albeit not very fast....regards cappy
