by rob you have thepatience of job no pun intended
I find that listening is inversely proportional to youth , There are many who take part in this site who know from , personal and family experiences how hard job seeking is . There is no easy way and no companies of last resort any more . waving paper qualifications is OK if you have experience to back them up . I see some youngsters who expect an easy ride , some who put a lot of effort in to getting a future, and my patience is reaching the point where I shall have to self moderate , or get Tony-ed
ive notthe patience of rob the second words off
In my 20 years sea service ,in my opinion then, Lakshmi Mittal has more than made up for for the hundreds of Indian Officers I sailed with on British ships (some of whom did hold fraudently obtained qualifications )and who did not pay British tax,nor any Indian taxes either. They were probably some of the wealthiest personnel of any of the world's merchant navy officers. And they knew on which side their bread was buttered-they were 110% clean as a whistle never any trouble, which is why our greedy unscrupulous shipowners preferred them.Slowly but surely we remaining British officers were replaced by Indian counterparts, many of whom had never set foot in the U.K. Perhaps you can understand the resentment it caused some of we British merchant seamen, and now it's happening again with the majority of foreigners far exceeding the British on what remnant remains of our British MN.
Also,it would be interesting to hear what Lakshmi Mittal has done for India,if anything.
You see, young chap, my recollections of the Indian ports and other cities I have visited are the huge gaps between the haves and the have nots, many of whom have no compunction about trampling on or lashing out at their fellow countrymen for daring to ask them for a couple of annas for their starving child...
I can also visualise young Indians being taught "Go for it,if Lakshmi Patel can become the richest man in Britain then any one of you can".
I had to laugh when you said he's been paying enough tax to keep British people in their benefits ! No,my friend,it is the many thousands of we Brits who were and are keeping the millions of Indian and other immigrants in their benefits by allowing them seemingly limitless immigration into this country.
Good luck in what you are striving towards, and I hope you will attain it in the correct manner. It was never easy at the time for we mid 20th century seamen,we didn't expect it to be,but it must be harder now in this cut-throat world we now live in.
Best Regards

Dear gulliver do you know how much your country generates in inviting foreign students to study there. Due to foreign students studying in your country your standard of living has risen up, as foreigners pay huge stack of money to study and live in your country. You people looted our wealth to a great extent, tonnes and tonnes of gold jewelry and other precious material were stolen from india which landed in britains treasury. So what if we comes to britain and get employement there! what if we demand you back the KOHINOOR DIAMOND? will you return it....huh and a question did you lost your job due to a qaulified Indian taking up your place, i think so.
the smell is probably the smell of Bombay madras Calcutta and the dead lying in the streets each morning I hear the sound of baksheesh in your rhetoric somehow little man
better than the brits who stole others money and now living on BENEFITS without doing any work. Your queen wears diamond stolen from India, so It good to smell dead bodies rather than stealing others property, Im i correct potbellied man ;)
