TV Mighty Ships.
Does anyone ever watch this programme on Quest?
Generally quite good, apart from the howlers every now and then.
Can't differentiate between tankers and bulkers. On the most recent the C.O. visits a spotlessly clean ballast tank to make sure the welds aren't leaking, and the ship was on its maiden voyage.

today the computor is the brains
Hi shipmates, Hi Vic, seen mighty ships on quest channel a few times, They are nothing like it when I was at sea some of them are like space ships on the bridge, and no brightwork? the drilling rigs are awesome . The crew on the ship are like factory workers/ engineers not seamen and the size of them today the lifeboats are bigger than some of the ship I was on ?? The bosun in the old days would never find you in the forecastle, by the time he did it would be too late to do any work. I like the games room/ gym and all the other stuff the keep you busy on your time at sea? we had nothing like that in my time . A home made swimming pool on some ships and a few films if we were lucky. The food is the very best like a top hotel, Would I like a job on one, too much time at sea, Not like in my youth, but a good way to save money and see plenty of sea.

We have it here, some good some crap. The annoying thing is they advertise one ship then show another, very frustrating.

Happy daze John in Oz.
