Atlantic City for a night out
Reading Kongs description of waitress'sw in tight tops and skimpy shorts reminds me of a night in Atlantic City N.J.
We were in Philly loading grain and no weekend work (and that was in the 80's) and one of the dockers suggested we go down to Atlantic City for the night, stroll the broadwark there and view the casinos.
For ROUND 15 bucks we got a round trip bus ticket, a meal ticket plus around 8 bucks in quarters to play in the slot machines. The buses were all labelled with the individual casino's name and which everone you boarded you were deposited right inside that particular casino.
We chose the Playboy bus and about 10 steps off the bus and we were in front of the slot machines. Shortly after we entered some one (not us lot) won a packet on one machine (could have been a six figure sum but not sure of that). Well the lights flashed, sirens raqng and who ever had won the packet was surrounded by bunny girls and taken off to the VIP lounge.
We trawled all the casinos just to have a look see at them all, fantastic. At one I was actually up 200bucks at the tables one minute, lost it all the next.
ended up in the Eygptian themed one (Golden Sands?) where we went for drinkies aand all the waitress's were stunners dressed in very lose togas with minimal underwear...heaven.
The meal we got using our ticket in the Playboy was a bit of all right too.
It was fascinating to se the roped of tables for the high rollers where the min. bet was $100.
Also in every casino there was a lounge bar with free entry and in one it was either Tony Bennet or one of his peers singing there...all for free!!!!!
Don't know if this sort of trips still go on, we got back around 2 in morning after a really great run ashore
