Inspiration
I don't know if this will reach anyone at all - but I hope and pray that it will reach someone that would like to hear it. There are many seafaring and naval music pieces and hymns put to personall the world round, and of course many of those have obscure origins - perhaps for the right reasons. I have been thinking and praying and hearing God alone here at home. I can hear the tune in my head often used in different ways that is truly inspirational to us all, as I thought of "'flowers on the waves" some include "to the lamb" and it is sung as more than just a hymn - it is life giving in its inspiration. Not all people in this world truly understand what it means to give up of yourself to a higher calling that often takes the lives of those around you you are committed to and often even ourselves. That we are not Christ but serve to the best of our ability, there is a piece of music my daughter loves and does not immmediately know what it means to those who have served. It is pretty much exact to the inspirational piece of music sung the world round by those serving in the navy in different places. The modern version is authentic, and it is played by a group you can find anywhere in the world called 4HIm. The inspirational music they play that they have heard of from God is different in some ways to the words we may know but it is the same and they play it as "Where There Is Faith". I wholeheartedly endorse this piece of music to any person at all, but especially those grieving,as a non-religous christian inspirational to give balm to the wound and to lift up those who need the aid of God Himself. Anyone in the world of any language or division who knows the naval tune will reconise this music from the group 4HIm. My natural father I have been away from for more than 45 years and it has always been cruel that the home that waits for me is subjected to that - but this music reminds me that my father as a naval officer bore his arms with rolled up sleeves to Admilralty that he was over the age of fifty years and though secreted away he did this also for me as his son. Perhaps for me too in this music I will remember that there is a higher calling beyond that which I may have designed for myself.
