    Thumbs up Recent Anniversary Cruise.

    Greetings one & all,
Some weeks ago I placed a thread about our forthcoming 50th Anniversary cruise and received quite a few interesting replies especially about taking booze on board so I thought I would let you all know how things went as promised.
I am pleased to say that it was an absolutley briiliant cruise and enjoyed it from begining to end with quite a few interesting happenings, fifteen weddings, five 50th wedding anniverseries our including ours, about the same amount 25th wedding anniverseries, a man overboard (larking about by all accounts but managed to get him back) and that was at five thirty am in the morning of our anniversary, two deaths, one man needing blood very urgent, two families turfed off in Tortola, for would you beleive the wives fighting over sun beds so all in all an interesting cruise.
As far as the ship "Ventura" was concerned it is a very nice one to say the least with plenty of good enetertainment to choose from and of course unlimited food.
With regards to taking booze aboard there was no problem just wish I had taken more now however talking to various passengers who are regular cruisers they say P & O are fairly relaxed as far as that is concerned but other companies are very strict.
While talking about booze £15.00 for two litre bottle of sprits so is it really worth messing about carrying booze aboard.
Our anniversay went well apart from the idiot going overboard which really upset my wife at the time until we heard he was drunk and larking about, we had breakfast in our cabin, on the balcony with a bottle of bubbly then on the evening before dinner we invited the other three couples we sat with each night at dinner for drinks in the cabin opened up all our cards & prezzies we took with us, forty in all, so all in all a lovely day.
Hope I havent bored you with experience but one thing that really pleased me was being on a ship once again and on the high seas lots of memories came flooding back.
That's it take care one & all.
