Already unmanned vessels controlled by someone sitting thousands of miles away are close to becoming reality as ship-owners look to reduce costs by not having to provide accommodation spaces and thus maximising space available for cargo but now they are talking about having cranes that do not need a driver in their cabs but can be controlled from the bridge, whatever next.

Unmanned vessels could easily be hijacked by cyber attacks by `Pirates`.
Maybe the Insurance companies would have a say in all this.
But I guess we were the last of the Seafarers, The world will not see our likes again.
