Hi Alf.
Its me again,I sailed for a couple of trips on the Orelia,one of the Iron Ore carriers.From
Port Talbot to North Africa,Stavanger in Norway to Irlam on the Manchester Ship Canal,and
the same ports next trip,thats how it went on.Its the only Houlder boat I came across.

Duquesa wasprobably the finest vesel I ever sailed on. Gutted to leave her but promotion was in the air so it was a no brainer!

hi corrientes.i was engineers steward on duquesa and the chief had some photo's of her when she was captured by the admiral scheer. it showed german sailors unloading eggs and meat in hamburg. cheers. alf
