good morning, it comes as no great surprise to me to learn that each and every person that has or will need to go to their local hospital for treatment, has found or will find that the way they where treated will have a bearing on their future health.as the national health service is on its knees in this country, ( my wife waited seven hours to be treated
although i believe they do their utter best and i am very grateful,
as for the masks, im totally surprised to learn that the robberies with masks on are not even news worthy, maybe there is that many that they do not want to encourage others to take up the trade, but i digress and add that i would sooner drink with a bank robber than a liar, as the liar can destroy you.

Yes hospitals are there to aid wherever they can , but the miracles are few and far between .I have rellies out here in W.A .in the health system . And it seems like the rest of Oz and the UK there are the usual shortages , mainly man/woman power even before the slow arrival of expected drugs . People who devote their working life to helping others deserve everyone’s praise and thanks , we should all be grateful for what we receive. And not complaining about too much. No place for sea lawyers when lives at stake . Cheers JS

Having recently spent near three weeks here in hospital,
hence, saw first hand, the NHS staff are brilliant and need
not be knocked. Tough times but they do a great job.

Unlike the politicians that are over paid and reckon there
is no money to pay nurses etc better etc, then can afford
to then throw money at all and sundry instead of solving
things.

The non existent money tree bears fruit, every time this
lot need it.

thankyou for your enquiry,im saddened to hear also of your family health problems with our fantastic world class beating national health service,but as i pointed out i think every citizen in this country would have a similar tale.
my wife is getting along fine but the problem was that she had broken her ankle on her other foot previously some months ago, so that in its self caused extra difficulties, and ive told her when going for the shopping just buy half as much as usual in the morning and then go back in the afternoon for the other half, and i if she rings me before she drives in i shall come out and help her with the bags, i cannot be fairer than that.
but as i have said before and i dont wish to denigrate our national health service, But it is not the spottlessly clean and sterilized world with top english speaking staff that we are lead to believe, and nor is it the best place to go to for your health, but then again we will not be able to get through the doors in the very near future, as i have just been reading of the true figures for, the afghan refugees the number quoted by the goverment should be quadrupled and thats without the five or six hundred a day plus the three million pen and inks due to arrive on these shores,
remind me of what my wifes tells oh yes, ( she states she is glad she is leaving this world and not coming into it )
well thats enough cheer for one day.

Just a post to relate my very recent experience-a positive one happy to say.
I had been waiting 12 months for a minor operation on my hand.Then Covid struck,and of course the NHS were naturally redeployed to other areas of care.
I therefore resigned myself to another long wait,or maybe never,but lo and behold last month I received a letter from my local Treatment Centre-it is still a Hospital but the main one with A and E,Major Trauma Centre etc.is in the City.
I was booked in last week,had the op- there were about a dozen of us that day- and this week I will have the stitches removed.
How wonderful is that-,that the NHS is starting to clear the massive backlog of waiting patients.I know here in the UK it depends much upon which area you live in and resources available to that particular Trust,and I feel just a bit saddened that patients with cancer and heart problems can not be dealt with as quickly as we orthopaedic patients,but I know from family in the NHS that gains in treating patients is going ahead there too.
I must say too that like many of us 'oldies but goldies' I suffer from the eye-related condition of 'wet' AMD- Age Related Macular Degeneration. Now,all through the pandemic there has been no cancellation of my or many other's two-monthly eye injections-all continuing as normally,obviously with Covid measures. It is nice to notice too that the unremitting pressure and stress that our NHS staff during Covid were subjected to has abated quite a bit,and the atmosphere in the hospitals is much calmer to the benefit of staff and patients alike. Thank God for our NHS.Well Done !

How is your wife's foot now Tom;) Many years ago my father had a heart transplant, spent his latter years years in and out of hospital he always came home with something extra [keep it clean happy days:p] usually it was MRSA which blocked his holiday arrangements on numerous occassions as he could not then receive his dialysis at a European hospital. My 86yr old mum caught covid too, luckily mum had received her two jabs and was home two weeks later.:)

Belated happy birthday to Pat while you are still speaking and before she puts you back in the shed.Gwen had hers two weeks ago , keep on telling her I will be looking for a younger woman soon , she just says you couldn’t handle one.
