    Resentment about History and Suspicion.

Why had the Superpowers become suspicious of each other by March 1946

I think that suspicions had been around before
    the end of the WW11.

I rememberer reading an account of both British and American troops "hitting the ground" whenever russian planes flew over them, this was at the end of WWII when the fighting was all but over, so evidently the distrust was there before 1946. JFC

That happened a lot, I remember a friend who was in my class at school, he was a National Service man in Korea, 28 shillings a week.
His Regiment captured a hill off the Commies, and moments later the American bombers came and bombed them taking the top off the hill killing around 200 British troops, he was lucky , he lost a leg/.
That was Friendly fire, would not like to see unfriendly fire.

I think that was Hill 282, where US mustangs hit 3 Scots highlander regiments and Sgt Bill Speakman earned his Vi toria cross

Misunderstanding of other countries activities and asperations is not a new thing, it has been around as long as man has walked on this planet.

But most is caused by the leaders not the people.

But often the people are brainwashed into the belief that the plans made by their leaders will benefit them, in their dreams they will.

Two examples of how the system has changed are China and Russia, bot former communist nations now embracing democracy and capitalism.
Not only have the people changed but so have the leaders.

In Russia last year and it became very obvious the people there in the majority are far better off now than ever before.
The West may still be wary of Putin, but the majority of the people love him for what he has gained for them.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

    Hi Brian.
I was on the Wave Baron off the Korean coast when that happened, later talking to some of the troops they said that afterwards it was one bullet to the front and one to the side where the yanks were.
    Cheers Des
