Germany has the best public transportation system I have traveled on. Cross country trains, city trams, and underground, all fast, frequent, and reasonable. I speak German, not fluent, but say, much better than good. I was able to buy a monthly family pass the last time I was there and it was half off, or two for one, and covered all public transportation within Germany. Even given credit to the border when we left Germany for Paris. The French Metro and trains are very good too.
We are, assuming health okay, heading off next year back to Dresden, Kracow and Warsaw, but have no need for public mode. Poland has a cheap and good systems too. Warsaw has a very good tram system, the cars were clean, fast and frequent, but old stock the last time I was there.
Mono rails could achieve much this way.
Keith.
Hi Rodney, Hamburg transport is amazing. 10 Euro let's a family travelled all day on the public network. The network includes underground, buses and river boats.
Vic
Our Mono rail here in Sydney was a complete flop Keith!
Now got the Light Rail in place and much better indeed,
Still loved those old Trams worked on them foe some time in Johannesburg down Bez Valley and other routes
The changing of the Overhead Power with the long Pole was some feat took me a while to get used to it. At times to begin once hooked to turn around it took me in the Air! LOL
I was a bit light then!
Cheers Clicikty Clack!!
Pos should have carried on from the dogems Doc, all the fun of the fair.
Could have improved for transport ?
An insurance nightmare possibly ?
Fun though.
