Notes on a small town
Well I came man to London town
All day long I looked up and down
Lots of people all in a hurry
Never saw such a flap and a flurry
Some white people too....so they said.
Well I stood on the corner playing spotthe 'Pom'
But not too many came along
Saw some men in gowns long and white
Just like my gran' pappy wore at night
Some in black with just their eyes
Are they the terrorists in disguise?
Sat on the bus but so absurd
Not an English voice was heard
Looked around for some one white
But then got such a terrible fright
Not a white face for me to see
Just black as night oh please save me
Gone are the Cockneys who lived in thistown
Replaced by the men in a funny gown
The language now is strange to hear
No English voice comes any where near
They sit on the sidewalk with the funnypipe
Smoking some stuff that makes them ripe
The restaurants that we once used
Replaced by Kebabs and funny stews
Gone is the town that once was home
Now looking more like a worn out crone
Full of very odd people not a bit likeme
Came to here from over the sea
Taken up root and the shops as well
The poor old Brit has come to hell
No more do I know this city
And for me that is such a pity
But the day has come which we thoughtit might
When black has taken what once waswhite
So now I must leave this sad old town
To return to the one I now call my own
A place where I can still find a man
Who does not need a gun in his hand
I sit and I wonder just how how longit will be
Before all the English say this is nomore for me.

Oh John I do hope this is pure BS as I am off to visit the family in the "old dart " in October . They all live in Surrey so , fingers crossed some of my old mum's values still exist down there .

HD, John,
That is exactly what it has become where I live in Boltonistan.
that poem says it all.
What happened to my England. Gone forever. All those lives Sacrificed in War to save England and for what, a New kind of Invader.
All politicians should be hung from Lamp posts for the disgraceful way they have destroyed our once great Nation

Neil, some of the country areas are not so bad but most of the capital cities are like this.
My sister lives in East Grimstead West Sussex and they are now there in numbers.

Bugger ! Maybe I should bring them all out here . Although I doubt they would come . Our mother was a capital "L" liberal with a live and let live attitude which she instilled in my sister and I . So I guess they are all muddling through ; I will find out come October .

Neil, if you get ot LOndon and I am sure you will, then go to Marble Arch and take a bus up along Edgware Road. Get off at Clifton Rise and walk back to the fly over. The you will see the new London. This part is like so many others now, completely taken over by those from over the seas.
