"Misspoke"
Brass Neck or what
Diane Abbott says she 'misspoke' on Labour's police policy - BBC News
According to the BBC, Diane Abbott first said that the 10,000 additional police officers would cost £300,000 over four years (£30 each), then she raised it to £80 million (£8,000 each over 4 years. Apparently Jeremy Corbyn has confirmed that the figure should be £300 million a year.
That works out at £30,000 per officer per annum. Now that sounds very light to me, that should cover the officer's salary cost OK, but doesn't sound like a reasonable whole cost once you factor in on top of that the significant employer's pension and NI contributions costs and infrastructural costs like training, uniforms, vehicles, accommodation, management overheads etc. .

Re: "Misspoke"
John, D.A in my opinion has trouble stringing a sentence together, watch her on TV, she always pauses before and during any statements.

Re: "Misspoke"
She sounds like our State Premier, Dictator Dan.
He has promised an additonal 2500 police over the next four years.
When challenged about the fact that it takes two years from who to first day on the beat and the academy can only turn out 500 per year, he attempted to change the subject.
The attrition rate is around 300 per year, retirement etc, and new needed for new suburbs soak up the rest.
The conclusion, Labor employs some of the biggest idiots it can find.

Re: "Misspoke"
Hi John.
There are very very few politicians today worth their salt. Take our wonderful PM he met with The Indian billionaire and said that he was welcome to build his new coalmine in Queensland that will destroy the Great Barrier Reef, then when he came home he said that the Gov't would not lend him the $4biilion to build the railway line nessesary to ship it to the coast. He calls all the big bankers to parliament house and chastises them banks for ripping the people off, but does nothing to stop them, then he calls on the public to boycott the ANZ Bank for refusing to lend Andani the Four $Billion that he refused to give him.
Cheers Des

Re: "Misspoke"
Hi shipmates, Diana Abbott ? she is getting on in years , no longer the force she was ? Cappy my shipmate ,no money in the treasurey was a joke he left a note, a school boy prank !!! i.e NO sweets in the tuck shop, no booze in the bond, there is never any money in the treasury as our government tory/ labour and anyone else? borrow to spend , more than they tax a fact, from 1986 we have been pennyless/pot less as a country, proof ??? see the debt clock for up to date information, the people in power are the bankers, and foreign counties, China Saudi and the U,S.A. are our owners today. NOT the government a load of free loaders with No say in the real world. sorry but thats the facts our vote is a waste of time see BREXIT it will run for years and years.
