Ale for sale
There was a very disturbibng article in the weekend paper regarding the consumption of alcohol.
For generation Australians have been regarded as some of the worlds biggest drinkers, a badge hard earned and worn with pride.
Now we are being undermined by the younger generations, they are not pulling their weight it would appear.
Currently we drink 7.9 billion standard drinks a year or 99 million litres of pure alcohol.
Half of the people over 14, about 9.5 million drink 97% of all the alcohol sold.
But some 16% of all over 14 do not drink.
The top 10% of the drinkers take in some 52.3% of all alcohol.
That means some are not doing their share meaning professional drinkers such as myself have to drink well over the average to maintain the national average.
I am of the opinion that we should receive a grant from the feral gov to assist with this monumental effort.

Happy daze John in Oz.

Re: Ale for sale
In a similar vein, when you are drunk, and everyone says go to be, you feel good.
In the morning you awake, mouth like sandpaper, head like is fit to burst, body aches allover.
I am a firm believer that its not the drink that causes these ailments, its the sleep. Let face it when you go to bed, you are fine, you wake up feeling horrible.
I have researched these fact for years burt I cannot get grant to carryout further research.
