I had a message from Alf Corbyn today with
his new email address,tried to reply but they
failed to deliver to this address which Alf gave
as shuftee@lookpro.com.au.Anybody got any
ideas ?

with Alf s address and it does show as
"AU",which as you say relates to down under.

Hi Dave, called the Nursing Home there, and was advised that Alf does not have laptop/tablet etc in his room, though she said we could email Matron and they would print out and forward that way,......... better than nothing I suppose. Will try and contact Paul [Welfare Officer]who has visited Alf already from Fisherman's Mission. He suggested supplying Alf with a pay as you go mobile which I offered to send. Will call Paul now.

Spoke to Paul, he is meeting Alf's sister in law Anne tomorrow and will establish if I can send mobile. He confirmed that Alf has his computer in his room but it's not connected. Again, he will ask if this can be arranged. Paul will call me tomorrow night with update. Keep you all posted.

Some years ago I did some family research with people in Canada. I registered with a Canadian E mail address suffix ca for research purposes and received E mails from Canada on a regular basis. This however was with Freeserve which subsequently became Orange. You could at that time use other countries suffixes and still receive your E mails OK in the UK. I am just wondering if this is what has happened here, Alfs E mail address has somehow been registered with an Australian suffix either by accident or design. Bit of a mystery.

Hi Dave.
AU is for Australia definite. You have received an e-mail from some one either fooling around or trying to get into your e-mail account. Last week someone sent me an e-mail from the Vindi HQ, I thought it was Robin, when I inquired Yahoo told me that there had been some sort of shenanigans and got me to change my password. I suggest you do the same, doesn't hurt to change it occasionally.
