It's over
Now as the late, great Roy Orbison once sang It's Over.
My daughter dream of a large outdoor wedding has happened and everything went as she hoped. The constant phone calls between mother and daughter have stopped, my wife is no longer asking me ten times a day if her dress and shoes are right and I can stop worrying about making a speech.
We now have an extended family of in laws, many of them I met for the first time on Saturday.
Today there is a huge feeling of anti - climax and I am completely exhausted but also very happy that I could help to make her day so special. The father / daughter relationship is a unique bond, they are always our little girl no matter how old they are.

Re: It's over
Congratulations Louis, just remember even though she now has her own man to look after her and even if you change all the locks on your house, they will still come back to you many times, especially when their man cannot get the car to start, they need advice of any sort (usually what hat to wear with what dress), you name it. Did you have Roy Orbison's "Pretty Woman" playing at any point in the ceremony?

#4, Doc's post 'Soon there will be the patter of tiny feet, then more headaches'
Hey Louis, my last two weekends have been spent babysitting my two youngest grandchildren. Both had chicken pox and were potty training. All beds duly christened
