#1... If the post that bad should of asked them to email it to you John. Us remittance men have to suffer Cappy the British government will not give us the full pension. We may all have to come back and get properly paid which will probably bust the country, and then disappear again. Lets know how many sheep you want before we all leave. JS

Re: New years honours
There's a girl Sheridan Smith the only thing that she is known for by a small proportion of the population is for playing the part of Cilla Black in a two part show about Cilla's life, she has been mentioned in the Queens Honours list OBE, a nice girl and good actress. You then have Ken Dodd, been entertaining the people for over 50 years but more important than that he has raised thousands for charity. He has been nominated a number of times by influential people but the fact that he had trouble with the Revenue Man he will never be honoured.I seen him on a show where he said "when income tax came out it was two pence in the pound I thought it had never changed"

Re: New years honours
As far as i am concerned the New Years Honours list is the most pointless exercise year in and year out, its the old school mainly , patting each other on the back, with just a few good people mentioned to keep the system going, KT

Re: New years honours
Phony Bliar made a mess of it when he started to "honour" show biz people and sportsmen, [ Cool Britannia] instead of people who deserved it, people who made personal sacrifices to help other people or the country and not making millions for themselves.
Many of the these `show biz celebs` live overseas as tax avoiders but demand `Honours`
Cheers

Re: New years honours
Contrary to popular believe the honours system for the man in the street is put together by Downing Street. The Queen has her own Orders of the Garter and such. Cappy that is garter and not suspender. The previous Labour Party were accused of selling them to raise funds for the Labour Party. Any group of people can nominate someone so if we all nominate someone say John Pruden we may hit the jackpot. Next year someone else, leave Cappy till last though as has a Police Record in Australia, however the dozy government may not notice if we all throw a few bob in. It may be even easier to start of with the ladies on the site as they are more likely to have no criminal records as such. Their decoration is more elaborate and pretty anyway. Cheers JS
