This is why we should support our local butchers!! Morrison's I think sell British non halal. If enough of us ask every time we shop at M&S, Tesco,
Asda if their meat is halal they will eventually take note. Waitrose have recently stated they will supply non halal too after it was discovered that Duchy Originals was halal also!!! Yea Gawd you couldn't make this up.....Blooming heck not good enough Prince Charles stating that he was unaware...:mad:

Tomorrow will be checking my grandson's school. He usually takes a packed lunch, it's a non denominational school so hopefully ok there....

There is nothing different with Hal al meat apart from the way it is slaughtered, NZ have been exporting such meat for years all killed in NZ under Hal Al conditions, unlike Oz where we stillexport them alive, a somewhat barbaric trade.

The only real difference is the pre stunning , before the blood vessels in the neck are severed , in the UK an electric shock or a stun gun . I have seen a sheep slaughtered in Greece by a quick very sharp knife movement , and the animal died with virtually no struggling , and very quickly , poultry and sheep ,I don't have arable with , I have doubts about larger animals though .

Hi shipmates, my mate Laurie was in New zealand { wartime, }The cattle and sheep were all killed the halal way, on the quay with sharp knifes no time for animals in them days people were hungry and the ship had to sail....

The Guardian reports, that the two men travelling on stolen passports on the ill fated Malaysian plane 'were well educated Iranians seeking asylum in Europe' seems they were not paying attention during their geography lessons!!

Ivan I was being told by a person that works for the Border Agency that it is easy to get a stolen passport in Thailand,so the trick is go to Thailand first pick up a stolen passport fly to say the UK with an Italian passport come in as Italian rather than Iranian.I think that they were looking for the cheapest way to get to Europe and that was via China.

Has anyone noticed.
The country is filling up with europeans.
Now when or If we ever get a Referendum on leaving europe, all the europeans will vote to stay in. That will sway the result.
That would just prove that we cannot trust our Politicians. Vote Rigging they used to call it.
