Severe bushfires Victoria
At this time there are severe bushfires burning all overVictoria, with many warnings going out to Residents in many Areas .
I have just been watching the coverage and it looks very bad at this stage, similar conditions that we had not too long ago here in NSW, hot. Dry and with heavier winds also now predicted,a very bad combination for dangerous conditions.
I am posting this as have just seen a watch and act alert for Sunbury, which as some may know is where or John in Oz lives,I sincerely hope that both he and Terri are safe.
John mate if you read this please let s know how things are around your Areas.
Will be thinking of you both at this trying times.
Cheers. Stay safe!!

Re: Severe bushfires Victoria
Well just Phoned John ,he wasn't at home ,so spoke to his lovely Wife Terri who told me that they are fine,Fires all around them though, but apparently the Wind change Yesterday helped them keep the Fires out their paths!
So at this time thank the Lord that they are AOK!
Still a long way to go for many there in Victoia, and both Irene and my feelings go out to them!
Stay safe all there and hopefully no more Homes will be lost!
Australia is a wonderful Country but as many other parts of this Globe,we live with all these types of Weather patterns, and just have to do the best we can when they strike with such fury!
Cheers

Re: Severe bushfires Victoria
Thanks for that Vernon, yes we are safew but surrounded now by grass fires which have sprung up again due to a wind change. The nearest is about 5 Kilometers away but no threat to us. Smoke to se seen as afr as the horizon and the smell of burning everywhere. So far only 10 houses lost but a lot of livestock and wild life. The weather here since new year has been nothing but HOT, coldest day, just the one, of 25 and up to 44 where we live. But it does cool down at night and Friday it dropped to 30 overnight.
We will have the risk of fires until the end of March unless we get a lot of rain and that is not normal at this time of year. Thankfully no loss of life with this fire but it is sacry all the same.

Happy daze John in Oz.
Life is too short to blend in.
