Re: What a Loverly Couple.
Behind every Headline there is a real story!!!Upto about 2 years ago the payment of rent was paid direct to the landlord without the tennant being involved.I decorated houses for some of these landlords and they advertised DHSS welcome they loved these tennants the rent was Gilt Edge. They did'nt have to knock on doors to collect it or expect the tennant to bring it to the office or set up a Standing Order. The situation is now to make tennants more responsible people and treat them as human beings the rent is paid to them direct with their benefit and they in turn should pay the landlord. But the type of people involved out of work,on drugs and various other things get that rent money in their hands and they think it's Christmas!!!If you are buying a house and you dont pay the mortgage you are evicted and the house taken off you,the same as renting you dont pay the rent and you are out.If you own property and you rent it out you expect the rent in return and this couple are right, foreign nationals pay their rent on the button and thats why they want foreigners to rent. Many on here know my politics but on this one i have no sympathy for those people who do not pay the rent.!!!As I said they are lucky to be getting their rent paid for them not like working couples struggling.

Hi Shipmates, I have campaign against bad private landlords for years, but they are giving money to party funds, so dont have much trouble with dealings tennants in the U.K. get the short end of the stick.. Land-lords they pay very little tax, and many dont pay any if live abroad? dodge council tax Many loop-holes to escape justice and treating people bad... land-lords are big crooks most of them....

Louis with all respect unless you have been in the market of renting properties ......I think your comments are to put it plainly rubbish ...I have experience of this field and believe me it is grim ....many but not all tenants cause massive problems by not paying rents ....getting elec and gas cut off and then disappear leaving what were good clean properties like middens .......they know there rights down to a t....but there responsabilities are non existent......students are the future of our country and must have accommodation .....the right to buy did not mean less houses....the other side of the coin the big union chief on a hundred grand a year living in social housing ....get him out .....believe me Louis many of the properties owned by private landlords are rescued from being hovels ..turned into good homes for people without homes......when the dhss stopped paying to the land lords .....a large majority decidedthey would not pay and spent it on other pleasures......lanlords is a wrong title ...property owners who are willing to rent out there homes to others for a fair rent is a more apt name regards cappy

Re: What a Loverly Couple.
My sons partner has a property in Manchester they live down south the rent had not been paid for three months so they came up this way to see what the situation was.House was empty and destroyed all the spindles and banister on the stairs.doors skirting and other wood ripped out and used to have a fire in the back garden.
People in the street said that they were neighbours from hell allowed to rent through an agency

Re: What a Loverly Couple.
Hi shipmates, Hi Cappy, I write about what i have seen in Cardiff, Buy to let land-lords are in the most part crooks, I like to see a tennent get away without paying rent here? every landlord before a room is rented, has a large deposit against ANY damage to they property , most are never given back loads of court cases' to back this up many buy to let land-lords let out sub- standard propertys and if you say anything you are evicted and your deposit is kept most landlords in Cardiff dont pay any council tax or any other tax as they are non dom. I am waiting for the law to catch up with the many bad land-lords around the country who play the system, and the money put into social houses' for proper familys. I worked for a big landlord in Cardiff for a number of years so I know what goes on... not all land-lords are crooks only some, and not all renters are bad payers...
