Ref. 19. Smallpox, TB. Aids, Malaria, Beri Beri, anymore diseases you would like brought into the UK, wihout being checked out. I was checked for same when I came here. Nobody can deny what you say Cappy but I think what is in question is giving the indigenous peoples a fair crack of the whip.We often hear it said only for us they would still be living up trees,who knows maybe some of them would sooner be living up trees than their present way of life.

If the British and europeans had not colonised Australia or Gondwana, the Chinese would have done.

Every time I go there every two years, more and more people are Chinese. They buy up the farms and then turn them into mines for the minerals underneath what was once good farm land, and that is shipped back to China.
Wake up Australia, it will soon be a sattelite state of China.

Sorry, but why do people think they have to apologise for history and for what the 'white man' did, please don't apologise for what my forbears may or may not have done, I'm proud of what the 'white man' achieved and his adventurous spirit which enabled us to sit here and criticise him for all the discomforts and dangers he incurred; if they are looking down, they must be thinking 'was it worth it, the ungrateful barstewards'. And as for robbing them of their mineral wealth, what were they doing with it, apart from sitting on it; nature put it there to be used, if they were too bloody thick to use it, then that cannot be visited upon the white man. The indigenous populations are reaping the endeavours of those white men, who some seem to be ashamed to be a part of. If the indigenous people are too crooked or greedy to manage their own resources properly having kicked the white man out, then that is their problem and cannot be visited upon the white man.
Lets conveniently forget the cruelty of the indigenous tribes of America (what was it called before white man got there), South America, Africa, Arabic nations, China, Japan, Indonesia perpretated upon each other long before the white man got there, lets forget the beheadings, the stonings, the staking out in the sun, the skinning alive, the burying up to the neck in sand, etc etc. Lets forget the Arab traders raiding Brittany, Cornwall, Devon and Ireland, destroying villages killing all the males and taking the women as slaves and concubines, lets forget the Africans selling their countrymen to Arabic nations, we could fill a book with the atrocities of non white men, or are they considered normal when perpretated by non whites.
To compare modern jihadism with what our forefathers may or may not have done, is both naive and childlike and insults your own intelligence, our forbears didn't set out to kill and maim whatever the cost, they didn't set out to exterminate all those who didn't believe in what they believed in, they did try to convert, but if they couldn't they didn't eliminate the disbelievers. They may have had their faults (who doesn't?) but on the whole they left a lot of benefits behind and not just a trail of destruction.
Again, please don't aplogise on my or my forbears behalf for being white and if you want to beat your self with flagulation there are plenty who will accept you into their fold
