"Remember the Merchant Navy" wristband
Thanks to Brian for letting me post the details here.
I am constantly looking for ways to raise awareness for the Merchant Navy and one of the ideas I have come up with to promote this is, I have contacted a company who makes those silicon wrist bands, such as the Help for Heroes ones you may have seen. The colours are red and green with a thin white line separating the two colours representing the navigation lights of a ship with the words "Remember the Merchant Navy" debossed in the design.
Please note all wristbands sold

MN Band !
Hi Billy
That looks and sounds like a realy good idea, the bands look OK and would certainly remind us each day of the MN ,not that we forget im sure!
But just to have it on all the time would be great!
Now as for Cheques from Australia, well i dont know how that would work, but i will look into it and see what i can come up with!
Possibly a UK Money Order is available here ??
Only other way is for us here to get a few English Pounds and post that (yes i know its really allowed) but with a good thick envelope it may be OK! ????
Anyway will see!
Cheers
PS Will keep an eye out for the post ,but would have thought you may have kept a record of what you sent out!

Vernon,
I try my best to keep account of all mail, I post, but I'm only human. You have no idea of the amount email correspondence and letters I receive every day as well as other work I do besides. Only thing I can guarantee, is if you do not receive the badges, I will post some more to you at no cost.

Its amazing what work you do Billy, and i for one am in awe at times!
Yes its a labour of love most of the time i know, and as you say Billy we are only Human! Quite understand!

For Alf
I always told anyone who asked Alf, that the initials stood for Maternity Nurse. Had some strange looks from blokes, but girls found it interesting.

Alf,
If you are referring to copyright, I have never heard of it. I've never had any problems over the years promoting the MN with images I have found.
