Also on the paper pulp runs between norway and bowaters of northfleet. On the duncansby head we did a few trips carrying phosphates from casablanca to immingham and cork. Was also on one of salvesens meddy runners, the "virgilia".Was on these ships + a few sal` boats and ben boats from 1965 to 1975.

Hi there. I sailed on the Yarrow,. Heriot, Lanrick, Dryborough out of Leith and Grangemouth
in the 60's... And have recently heard that the Yarrow was converted to a Gas tanker,
Did you sail on the Yarrow and what became of her???

Salvesons....
Hi all you Salvesons lads...just thought I'd chip in with a bit of info...
the Yarrow of 1958 was a cargo ship of 1140 grt/1380 dwt. She was converted to a Liquified Gas Tanker in 1968.Tonnage then became 2148 grt/2010 dwt.
However she was wrecked 4 years later on 14/1/72 in position 12 n miles North of port of Mohammedia in Morocco-that's between Rabat & Casablanca.
Pic below(as she was originally)-----perhaps best remember her as she was ,then !
Best Regards
Gulliver
