Article on R.M.S. EMPRESS OF JAPAN (1930)
I have just added an article on Canadian Pacific's R.M.S. EMPRESS OF JAPAN (1930) to my blog "Wanted On Voyage"
https://wantedonthevoyage.blogspot.com/
This is a comprehensive operational history and description of the vessel up to her renaming as EMPRESS OF SCOTLAND in 1942 and will be followed by an article on her subsequent career as such.

Re: Article on R.M.S. EMPRESS OF JAPAN (1930)
I sailed in Canadian Pacific from 1967 to 1989, cadet to chief officer, great company with some fantastic ship mates.
A distant relative sailed on the Cunard Queens and later on the white Empress's and he always said that for the passengers the accommodation and public rooms on the Empress's were much better being lighter decorated using natural wood etc whereas the Cunard Queens tended to use heavier and darker wood paneling in public spaces.
