Hi again, One of the POs was Ken Arkless GP1s Gerry Germain and his friend who was called Barry sorry cannot remember his second name. Bill was quite a charactor with his hearing aid playing up. I remember one of the Maltese was called Joe Block. I remember him well because one day in the engine room we had a tin of grey paint and told by Ken to paint the emergency generator. Joe finnished his side in about twenty minutes. Ken was not amused as we were still doing our side. On closer inspection Joe had only touched up here and there it turned out he was colour blind. We got a few beers from Ken as an appology not needed though. Remember when I picked Ian Ball up and put him in a sink of water in the changing room. Good days Danny..

Hello again Brummie I remember Ian and I had some good laughs with you, always able to relate to us at such a young age on our first trip. I remeber Ken well he was a good bloke and Bill was great even though he was deaf most of the time. Gerry and his friend always had Ian and I worried.
I remeber getting drunk on cold duck that stuff really made me ill.

Danny, You drink never!!. I once had 10 cases of cold duck in my cabin the customs guy said "Are you really going to drink all this" He wanted to sample some ,I thought he was trying to catch me out so he went out of my cabin hung his hat on the fire extingusher and came back in. We drank a bottle between us then he asked if he could buy a bottle. A little later he came back with his mate to see if I would sell his oppo a bottle. Yes certainly fun days. I sailed with Ians cousin on several trips.

Hi Tony,
I sailed with you on the Security. I joined in Teesport at short notice I was a chief cook but joined as second cook which suited me. The bosun was Tug Wilson. When you paid off Paul Mates joined (is he still alive?). I remember my Missus having to bring you honey coated peanuts everytime we hit the UK.
You still a firebrand mate lol????
