Hi Robert
You probably remember me, we sailed together your first trip on the Ratha, not sure if I was 4th or 3rd at the time. If I remember rightly you lived in Low fell at the time. Others I remember were Norrie Dawkins, Willie Thompson (not the owner), George McAlpine and maybe 2nd engineer Malcolm Bell from Whitley Bay. Last time I saw you I was on Benarmin in Newcastle when we handed over to the Chinese and you came down for a visit.

Inside Recipient Users box add Roger Arthur. TITLE, add MV Benratha 69 to 71. Then your message below. Ref. to the original post re. Big Bob. He didnt go on to work for Seaforth Maritime of Aberdeen did he. Although never sailed with him have recollections of meeting somewhere a big Bob. If he reads this or anyone who knew him was he a very tall man with hands like shovels, not said to be discriminating in any way but he was a very big man and don't mean fat. Cheers JS
