#112 Just look at our illustrious PM the supporters of the country of Israel should have been seen to act as one. Albernize by his act of trying to split his bets to appease everyone is going to find out he has acted detrimental to his party, himself, and the people of this nation , this is the second or third mistake he has made and will rue the day later. You never come out as a winner by appeasement for personal gain. Let’s see what he comes back with from China. If it’s guns he’ll know all about being in hot water. JS

You know what happened when you had to fly out and join a ship, pick up all the latest papers at the airport. Well in the 1970's I was on a ship in the Persian Gulf when a chap joined bearing the aforementioned gifts. In one of the papers, full centre spread of marches in Birmingham being carried out by a section from a supposedly religious section of the community demanding their own currency, banks, judicial system , laws and government. They wanted to live here and be entitled to all the benefits but have nothing to do with the country. This is their idea of integration. At the same time there was an article in the Gulf Times, stating that King Khalid had decreed that all foreign women, when in public places will wear long sleeved garments or be liable to imprisonment. No debate or argument. Some of you will be too young to remember Enoch Powell and his infamous Birmingham speech. Well I advise you to get on Youtube and listen to it. What he said, seems to me to be getting closer and closer to becoming true. The only thing he was wrong on was the section it was relating to. But back then, there were few of the community it should have been highlighting. These are people who still believe and practice the chopping of of hands for thieves, the stoning of adulterous people, public floggings and beheadings. The news channels etc are separating Hamas and the Palestinian people. Lets not forget who voted Hamas in to power. There is a saying - you get the government you deserve. Look at us with this namby pamby money grabbing lot. Whatever their party, they're all the same. They couldn't make a proper decision even if it jumped out and kicked them on the ****. And even if they did there'd be a bunch of self serving w*****s to batter the decision. God help us all.

I agree Des. A bit like our history. But that is what it is history. I have to admit bias here as my wife is Japanese, but you should really take a visit there. Respect and manners are something there in abundance. Something we seem to have lost.
There is a call for Charles to apologise to Kenya for the slave trade. Nobody has asked for the Kenyans to apologise for selling their brothers to us or the Arabs. The slave trade was going on before we got involved. It's the worlds history.

One small problem now, most school here no longer teach history, how is Uk on it?

The previous PM of Israel was interviewed on our SBS tv news service.
He claims that the death of so many in Israel will see the PM being told by senior others to resign!!!!!
His pinion but no doubt may have some strength in it.

Hamas today made a statement saying they will never give up until Israel exists no more.
Will not be now, but at some future day 'pay back' will happen brought on by the younger generation who in a few years will riseup to revenge the deaths of their relatives.i
