Canadian Citizen during WW2?
My father according to his memoirs had his nationality changed but further details are elusive no mention in his discharge book. This would not be an isolated but interesting case. Presumably a year's pension earned?

The Canadians were trying to establish a Merchant Fleet that they were building, but they had no Officers to handle the ships, although there were sufficient volunteers for the crews, but most of them were raw and unskilled, so that as well as supervising we were also instructing. Joined sister ship Rosedale Park as a supernumerary for the voyage on ship’s articles for the trip and signed on for a shilling a day. Sailed Sunderland 12th July Arrived Montreal 30th July 1944. From NA BT-389-25-94 Shipping Movement Record Cards.
Yamaska Park Launched 31/7/44, signed on Articles effective 7th July 1944 Montreal as Second Engineer finally signing off 3rd September 1945 London.
I then resigned from seafaring, resumed my British Citizenship, and went back to my shore employment. British Identity Card issued FEA 1755924 23rd February 1945.
