Woolwich ferry

Hello to all.
I am researching the above ferries, and i am having problems with ferry numbers and IMO numbers.
the following vessels are the problem.
GORDON--1888--1922
DUNCAN--1888--1922
GORDON--1922--1963

There is a book available on the internet named "free for all"cost is £75.00.!!!!

I have the details i require on the other vessels,(12 in total)
Do or can anyone help me trace the missing information.Thankyou.

Just of interest Mike but you may already have this

The Duncan was built in 1888 by R and H Green.
It was named after Colonel Francis Duncan (1836 to 1888) the author of a history on the Royal Artillery. Colonel Duncan was a soldier, and MP.
He was director of the St John Ambulance Brigade from 1877 until 1882.
He died at Woolwich and is buried in Charlton.



The Gordon was built in 1888 by R and H Green.
It was named after General Gordon of Khartoum (1833 to 1885) who was born in Woolwich and studied at the academy.



The Gordon was built in 1923 by Samuel White and Company Ltd, like her predecessor.
It was named after General Gordon of Khartoum.

#1. Official number was usually 6 digits. IMO number think it had eight will have a look and if incorrect will repost otherwise won’t. JS
PS just had a look 7 digits for IMO number. Almost right.
Not to include the two digits ,thumb and fore finger as per another post for stopping the circulation of blood.
