Just a quick question here ,as I don't and have never used an IPod ,how do you get on the Internet with it,i am presuming its the same as a smart Phone?
I ask this as there is an old Member who is trying to set up his IPod to get on the site again!
He is battling,he has asked me but I don't know
Thanks and hope someone can enlighten me on this ASAP!
    Cheers

I have an ipod Vernon but I only use it to copy a CD using my laptop. In fact it is actually playing now. I would suggest that your friend downloads the user manual for the ipod he has.

My I Pod is an Apple and works through I Tunes, just plug it into your computer and it syncs with I Tunes. You can also download the music stored on your computer to it or buy and download from I Tunes.

    Question Re: Ipod

I bought an Apple I-Pod Nano (16Gb) last year.I've put all my CD music collection on it;just checked and I've got 157 Albums comprising 2,391 songs !

As Chris says you load a music CD into your laptop using I-Tunes program and it's quickly transferred to your I-Pod and synchronised. All that in the same dimensions of a Swan Vesta matchbox, but much slimmer ! You can listen via your laptop, via ear/head phone anywhere. I even connect via Bluetooth into my car's audio system,I've a USB socket there to plug it into and the albums come up on the car audio info screen which I can then select with the steering wheel radio controls -very safe.

I don't think you can get the internet on an I-Pod,so I think you mean an I-PAD-which of course is a phone-sized tablet PC ,which should automatically connect to the internet ?

    Red face Re: Ipod

No Vic , as I said you can't connect an I-POD to the internet. An I-Pod is a type of device player for storage of music, photos etc.
You CAN connect an I-PAD . An I-Pad is a mini tablet/ PC/phone and can surf the net.

There will be those of a slightly older non-techno generation than us who will think an I-Pod is just another name for your eye socket, and an I-Pad is what you use to comfort it after you've poked yourself in the eye....
