Lou it is a privilege to be able to do my little bit towards the remembrance of what the Merchant Navy should mean to the UK. It is also a privilege to meet people like yourself, even if only in cyber space. Only through the vision of our leader, Brian has this been made possible and for this I too would like to express my gratitude. Well done sir!

Whilst I agree with Lou, Doc and Tony it was Brian who came up with the idea of the site. But more importantly it is the members that make it what it is, a site where ALL are equal. I have looked in on a few other similar sites and I can assure you none are as good or as friendly as this. I hope thast those aforementioned persons do all they can within their powers to keep this site what it is, a pleasure to so many.
With appologies I forgot to mention Mike Hall assistant moderator, sorry Mike.

You are of course quite correct John and it was remiss of me not to mention the fact.

This site gave me a chance to meet such great fellows as Lou in Dunedin, John Adamson on the old Queen Mary in Long Beach, Happy Daze John and Neil in Melbourne, Vernon up in the Blue Mountains and again in Monties in Sydney with Roger and Joe Doyle.
How can any site beat that.
Thanks again gentlemen for an excellent site.
Cheers
Brian.
