Chap's. You won't believe me .........BUT..........I just found a "secret" forum on the web who's members are all ex. aussi/kiwi bar maidens. They range between the ages of 50 to 88 years of age. Seems that the idea of the forum is for each to comment on their conquests with M.N. personnel over the years and give them points for prowess, stamina, size etc ! Makes VERRRRRY interesting reading.
Seems that most of them HAD the same bloke as others on occasions and even mention their names and ships they were on.
If anyone wants details as to how to access this forum, please PM me for details of how to credit my PayPal account. A couple'a hundred quid each should suffice. C'mon guys, you know you wanna ;););)
Oh! by the way. Photos are £500 extra.

Question
Have any of these lovely ladies ever re-appeared years later? Ever received a phone call out of the blue from your past?
I'll tell you lads, it is this very circumstance that led me to seriously pursue a search for my father. A woman my father had a fling with 48 years ago contacted my mother wanting to know how my father was, after 46 years!! That was an interesting day, I can tell you. You never know what's going to pop up out of nowhere! ;)

After reading some of the posts on this thread I'm beginning to worry. Do you mean to say I was sharing her ? Thank you very much, now you tell me and there was me thinking it was true love. You just wait till she gets home from Bingo !!!
Then there's the oft told story about the sweet young thing in Sydney who was venturing aboard a ship for the very first time, or so she said. She was click-clacking along the deck in high heels and tight skirt when she tripped ar-e over t-t and then proclaimed in a loud voice, " Ker-i-i-i-st, why did they have to put the bloody spring there ?".:D
Port Boat Mary !!!!!.....Brian(Kong), you didn't did you? Was that your only brush with fame or were there others ? Talking of Monte's, do you remember Chang's Greasy Spoon Milk Bar (or something like that) which was a couple of doors west of the pub. One night I was in there eating a post-session 'burger when I was accosted by this woman with a figure to die for. Unfortunately, she also had a head like a 'robber's dog' with pimples so that even this drunken 18 year-old was able to resist her advances. It was one of the most frightening encounters of my young (then) life. Fifty-three years later and I still have nightmares.

Vern there was never any bust ups on deck as we where only to aware of what the score was and loved it. Some of you talk about ugly ones but I can tell you I never found one especially in the first port of call from deep sea. The girls had the same intent as we did. Recall one time in the wash room where one of the girls was dropping a log with the door wide open and grabbed a bit of paper and wiped both end with one swipe then asked all present who was game to give it a kiss. What class some had but will stamp her book as she was and probably still does have a great sense of humour but those day will never come back will they but maybe some will get reminders as raincoats where always left in there packets. No did not see any fights over them or for them.

Durban in ther Criterion having a quiet one when one of the barmen who I knew quite well asked if I was interested in the' young' lady in the bar?
Being an honests sort of guy I said yes of course, what does she want?
She wants to know if she can get you into bed?
What a silly question I replied, no need to ask, just do.
He later told me that she had eight regular guys on the UCL but on that ship he had gone. I filled in for him for a number of voyages. We had to keep the flag flying after all, British spirit and all that>

4 Jacyn
Well Jacyn
After reading your post about if anyone ever got a call from the past!
This is a true little story, and Boy did it give me a bit of a Scare!
Whilst at Sea i met this lovely Girl in Durban, this in 1958 we had a long relationship, and we were sort of very true to each other! (Well as true as i could be haha!:))
Anyway to cut this short,in 1978 i was with my present Wife at a Football Match in Durban (Durban City V Cape Town City) sitting really enjoying the Match, when all of a sudden i hear a Voice behind me !
Hello Vernon its been a long time!
Sh-- i nearly died!
Sitting almost behind me was this Girl (Lyn) Surname i will not mention!
Not realising i suppose that i was Married and with my Wife sitting next to me,she politely jumps over the seating into my lap almost and a huge big Kiss follows!
Well you can imagine what transpired next!
I can tell you i had a hell of a lot of Explaining to do on returning Home that day!
But thankfully it all ended in a good laugh, and of course we are still married! 44 Years on (well will be in December this Year!)
That taught me to tell the dear Wife all!
Actually saw that Girl a few times after that again, but of course it was just a casual hello!
Cheers

I think I can honestly say, the Roughest and most horrible women I ever came across were the Ozzy `ladies`.
But again I can honestly say,
I never went to bed with one of them, but
I did wake up with some.

I didn't have a punch up but it came very close, i joined a ship heading for the aussie coast. we were all having a chin wag on number 5 hatch when this jos said he was engaged to this girl in Capetown and he used to send her money every month in an allotment, it was for her mother who was seriously ill. On chatting some more he said her name was Lorraine and without thinking i blurted out Not Lorraine Anders??. you could have cut the atmosphere with a knife, how do you know her?? he was up and ready for a scrap Being a bit diplomatic i skirted around the subject and eventually somebody changed the subject all together and it quietened down again. After a few days he came at me again this time i let him have the truth , both barrels. I had been knocking her off for two trips and as for her mother being seriously ill, the only thing wrong with her was that she had a job keeping her knee's together. He was being taken for a ride if she was not with me and not with him when we were both at sea , who the hell was she with ??. He did eventually see the funny side of the matter and we become good friends and had a few more ships together.
So is there any more of you out there sharing this girl with us or even her mother ,when in Capetown.???
