    From the latest Vindi News.
    Union Castle Sunshine Tours
    reduced return fares to Capetown
    90 pounds first class
    60 Pounds second class
    30 Pounds tourist class
    Xmas tours to Madeira
    20 Pounds first class.
Sorry, before John dashes out to book, these were 1935 fares

Yes Des, a room by the sea and all you can eat, and those on the run to Cape Town sure could eat.

She looks a lot different in later life, big changes to the top decks.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Her demise was due to the fact that Thomson Holiday cancelled the second year charter for unknown reasons.
In 1997 he she was a very popular cruise ship.
I sailed on her 1969-1970 and cruised on her in 1997.
Her rebuild increased passenger capacity from 720 to 1400.

Yes and very often referred to as the Transvestite Castle by those who knew the crew well enough.
