Spring on the way
Not long back in from a walk around the local graveyard. I enjoy the peace and quiet of graveyards. Anyway during my dander I spotted the first Snow drops out in all there glory along with several Crocus flowers. It always gives me a lift when you see these little amazing flowers. Nature giving you a wink that Spring is just around the corner.

Just back in myself from visiting my daughters, the daffodil shoots are about 6" tall already.

Re: Spring on the way
Yes spring is quite amazing.
Here in Oz we get some wonderful colors and the birds begin to nest.
The days get warmer and longer, the BBQ's come out and there is an air of great expectance across the land.
But apart from the very high lands we do not get the snow you have.
Hear it was bad in some parts then a very bad storm to follow, not good reading!!!
As to grave yards and cemeteries, there is a difference, we go to as many as we can.
It will show in most where the early settlers came from which can make interesting reading
Difference, a grave yard is usually connected to a church and is consecrated land..
A cemetery is just somewhere to hide the bodies.

Re: Spring on the way
The graveyard is in the grounds of an old demolished church Trinity Rd Hoylake. It is a history lesson just walking around it. Not that big but always see something new. The number of of those who died during the war and are burried with a war graves memorial stone is a history lesson in itself. Many are from local regiments like the Cheshire & Lancashire regiments, several RAF and a few RN guys, by far the most are lads who went down on seconded/ support, fishing boats and most are local Hoylake/Wirral men
