Re: old bangers
Down in Southampton in a pub not far from the docks there was an 'old banger'.
Story was she was game for it after half a bottle of Vodka.

The Trimmers Arms was built on the site of the West End vaults. Youngest daughter worked there as a chef for a couple of years when it first opened.

Hi Cappy.
I was on the Corfleet, same thing all coal dust for breakfast dinner and tea, did around six months. Tyne-side to London, and boy do I remember Blyth.

The old Juniper Berry in Southampton still going strong after name changed for a while and then back again Thank Goodness! Well anyway she had plenty of old Bangers around in the good old days, and were game for almost anything after a few good Shots! They loved the Baby Cham!

Re: old bangers
Now John you never told me that you were going there, i wish you had.
Did you notice if the Flags were still up at all.
My one was on the Wall at the end of the Counter and Mike's was hanging above on the Ceiling the last time i was there.
I do hope that they have kept the Flags Flying,as it took us both time effort and Money to get them there!
But yes it was and i think still is a good Pub (However these days not as good as the old days) as all that crazy atmosphere is now dead!
Oh well thats life

Re: old bangers
Vernon, never thought about it at the time.
Went in but only had a quick look around as it was just at opening time and we were on our way to meet my mate who still has the odd beer in there and says it is still good.
Has been cleaned up some since our days. Never thought to look for the flags, will ask my mate to do so next time in there.
But believe me I will be back again.
