Re: A big Win
Thanks Vernon,
It is a good cause and you never know when you are going to need their services.
My Doctor son, a few years ago, worked for Cancer Research UK, and they had to let him go as they had no money.
He did discover a new treatment for Cancer at the time. which is now being used to save or extend lives. so it is a worthwhile cause.
cheers
Brian

Re: A big Win
I was fortunate a few years ago, cleared my sons mortgage as we were already debt free. My ex daughter in-law was very grateful as she got the house. Thankfully my 18 year grandson still comes and see us.

Re: A big Win
If you earn ten shillings a year and spend nine and sixpence you are a wise man,
but if you earn ten shillings a year and spend ten shillings and sixpence you are a fool.
Wise words from a Dickens novel.
But wealth is not always measured by financial matters, health and the beauty of the world around you is worth far more.
With good health you may earn money, but if sick where to then?
Watching animals, wild or tame is as much of a pleasure as having money in the bank.
Never had a credit card until I came to Oz, then the bank bludged me into one.
I donate three mornings a week to the local community health center as a volunteer, and donate regularly to the hospital that did my Prostate op.
There are currently some 5 million persons here in Oz, out of a population of some 25 mil volunteer in some form or other.

Happy daze John in Oz.
Life is too short to blend in.
