Most of the countries colonized by not just UK but other nations, French, Dutch, Portugese were in a far better condition when they left than when they found them.
Many were by the standards of today uncivilized but were brought to a standard similar to those who colonized them.
Prosperity flourished and the countries did well.
The they asked for independence and that is where the corruption began.
Presidents came to power and often raped the country, greed and corruption took over and that is considered by many the reason for the current change taking place in South Africa.
Yes some of the colonists may not have done it all by the book, but they made the countries what they became.
Here in Oz we have tried to bring the Aboriginal community with us, most have, but there is a small element of them, encouraged by the Greens and PC brigade to demand much more.
They will never be happy with the status quo and will continue with their hatred of the white man.
