Re: EU and our PM.
If we are to believe (very difficult sometimes) what the BBC is saying at the moment is that BOTH sides were allocated 7 million to put the case, IN or OUT, and the government have spent over the allocation. This is much akin when the UKIP candidate, that eventually won his seat (name escapes me), apparently by law there is a given sum to run the campaign, and again the tories overspent the amount. I think we can all look foward to the crowning of the Empress of Europe, aka Merkel at this rate, kt PS the name just hit me, MP Cardwell

Re: EU and our PM.
You may joke about the Sainsbury's bag Cappy but that does really happen with the toffs in one of our so called posh areas, they also like to use those canvass bags for life, they will not be seen with the Lidl bags.

Re: EU and our PM.
#66 Its a pity they didn't spend that money in 1992 before signing the treaty in stealth and telling the UK public what they had done the so called Honourable men. Anyone who was party to that should have immediately lost their job and all the priviliges they may have accumulated. Words cannot describe their actions. They put any politican and every politician in a bad light and not worth thinking about. Not worth a light. Only a short way to go now they probably think of zipping the bag closed. JS

Re: EU and our PM.
No doubt Dave the rave thinks he has sorted out the best deal for the U.K. with his recent deal with the EU leaders and so this 9 million pound of government money will ensure that the leaflet been sent to all households will be slanted so as to give us a rosy picture for us staying in the EU and a bleak picture of what would happen if we left, similar to the leaflet sent out by H. Wilson in 1975 at the last referendum.
HOWEVER
Dave the rave has never addressed (and no one ever has) the single biggest problem of the EU, which is not the migration crisis but rather that all laws, treaties etc. are made by the UNELECTED EU commissioners, most of whom were a bunch of deadbeats when within the governments of their native countries who went on to become the largest snouts in the trough of the EU finances. They have blocked all attempts to have the EU finances audited and the amount of money lost in bribery and corruption is enough to keep a small nation in funds.
Unfortunately I doubt that the OUT lot will fail to stress the importance of how the EU actually works but will instead stress the obvious fears of immigration, open borders etc. instead of concentrating on how undemocratic the whole shebang is.

Re: EU and our PM.
One fellow on TV said he will be posting the Leaflets back to No.10 and if everyone did it there would be 27 million leaflets piled up behind No 10 s door. He would then get the message.
Good idea, I will do just that.
