    Default Shark Attack

For all of those members who live by the sea and enjoy sea bathing but can be put off by the presence of Great White Sharks in the area, this should reassure you.
Apparently no one has ever been eaten whole by a great white. The theory is that the signals and scents given off by a human swimming in the seas (nothing to do with looking like a seal) attracts the great white and out of curiosity it takes a bite out of you to see what you taste like. Disliking the taste it then moves off to find better tasting food more to its liking.
You may die from blood loss due to the chunk of you that the great white has taken out of you, but rest assured it will not eat you whole.
Now is that not reassuring so its safe to go back in the water, dur du, durr du, dur du!!!!!
Just another bit of QI trivia.

There is quite a number of the usual surfers where I live and it does not seem to perturb the ones who have done it all their lives. The two surfers who were murdered in Mexico recently were two such and only lived along the road from me and can remember seeing them with their surf boards. Ironical that they had to go to a foreign country and be murdered by their fellow man, whilst probably never thought twice about sharks. Myself I would be the first out of the water if any sighting of such, I hate the bloody things. Cheers JS

    Hi John A
When I was on the NZ coast I went to dive in the harbour in New Plymouth for a swim, not thinking of sharks in those days, I looked down and there was a huge hammer head gliding past, a recent pic from Western Aus reminded me of that day.

Another pick of what a white pointer can do.

Now then Ivan, don't be putting Cappy down as even with his nuts intact there are at least two sopranos from Shields, one in a group called Caballoro? and the other a Joe Mcsomething.
Don't know if Cappy has any relationship to this two guys?
As for ladyboys a trip to the Mechanics Arms in the 70's could have resulted in a near miss.
These days there is a guy who does charity runs (Great North Run etc.) dressed in a pink dress but one look at him and you realise that there is no Ladyboy under that pink dress!!!!!!

You get yourself down to the Ferryboat Inn Cappy and get among all those ruffy tuffy ferry boat crews. You know the ones who put the eye on the bitts. Tell them you started off life just like them working the River traffic. Cheers JS
