Duvet
Recently my dear wife sprained her back and is presently in the resting position.
Being the gallant gentleman I am I volunteered to make the bed. Never will I make such a foolish, rash decision again.
Even though it is below zero outside with a north east gale blowing I have just come downstairs drenched in sweat after over an hour wrestling with a duvet. Trying to fit the thing into the cover is nearly impossible but I managed in the end with a lot of shaking, swearing and smoothing out the bumps.
It was so much easier when we had sheets and a quilt. Now there are two of us with sprained backs.

Re: Duvet
Although I am now by myself. I have kept our King sized bed.Making it alone is quite a chore, although my wife used to manage without complaint.
In fact she preferred I didn't help.
From time to time, I have to turn the mattress around.
Now that must be a sight to behold.
How's that one go. 'Woman are the weaker sex'
Yeah right!

Re: Duvet
Well well,I thought it was only me that has a fight with the duvet once a week, I won't add anything to what has already been said because anyone who has done it knows very well you have to have the cunning of a fox to get the darn thing in.
To all us bed makers cheers..........Waitress-serves-Beer-.jpg

Re: Duvet
I too certainly agree with all that has been said here!
Gosh those Duvet's are something else, and although I don't like to admit it (shame on me LOL) I rarely if ever make my own Bed up!
During the Week when Irene goes to work (leaves at 4.50am each day,) i then go and just pull the Blankets Straight! Lazy bugger!!
I have a Double Bed in the room at the rear of the House, whilst my dear Irene has her Queen Size in the Front Room! We have slept separately for a long time now as we find it better to get a good nights sleep,as unfortunately Irene does have a rather loud Snooooore! LOL
But yes those bleedin Duvet's
Cheers

Re: Duvet
Very rare I have to do it but what I do is fold it in half length ways push it into the cover open it out get both corners of the duvet into the corners of the cover grasp both corners (duvet and cover) raise hands above head and shake cover down to cover duvet.
Regards.
