Re: Kong`s next pacific voyage
#27... Memory and superstition are funny things to some of us. I can recall clearly 50 years ago ashore in Cochin Goa, India, a street fortune teller telling me I would die when I was 46. I forgot about this until 46 came around when I was 47 said to myself it must have been 56 he said, the same thing happened was still here past 56 and then 66, so each 10 years I have made excuses for him and to myself. Next month when I clear 76, hopefully I can put to the back of mind till 86. I suppose the moral to this story if there is one, is don't listen to any stupid Indian fortune teller. Certainly don't pay him any money, in fact don't even look at one, this one obviously had it in for me. JS
Re: Kong`s next pacific voyage
hi John In 1952 in Madras India, A fortune teller told me I would die when I was 69, I was scared, I thought I was terminal.
69 came and went nearly ten years ago, so I was happy, hade quite a fwew near misses tho`.
My Mother was told by an Indian teller, she would die when she was 75, So we had a big party for her on her birthday and started the count down, she was not happy,. She lived to 82 so she beat him.
If they were so good they would win the lottery every week,
Cheers
Brian
