I hate 13"s and will be glad when this one is over. Has been a bad year in most ways imaginable. Happy 2014. Cheers JS
2014 looks a tester proposition to me 2013 was not good in any ways , next time we et t a year. With 13. I think I will be past caring
Yes, it goes without saying, have a great time Brian.
I will be 'armchair cruising' and following your adventures again. As my Chris is now wheelchair-bound after the stroke (but thankfully mentally well),it looks like faraway travels will be somewhat limited from now on.
Hope your insurance premiums didn't increase too much after last year's crisis?
All the Very Best

Thanks again Gentlemen
Davy , that is why I am trying to get everything in before it is too late.
I have a few friends left who have saved all their lives for retirement and now too old, too sick and infirm to do anything about it and they are stuck at home.
You have to do it NOW before iot is too late.
Since retirement I have seen more of the world than I did with a lifetime of seafaring.
When I am broke then I think of something else.
The travel insurance is excellent, RBS Royalties Gold. Not one penny extra ,, even after spending £55,546.84p on me in February.
Cheers
Brian.
#27... To enlarge my dislike of 13"s Rob, have just recently also realized that at 76, 7plus 6 equals 13. Have to survive 29 more days to get free of that one. Cheers John S.
Brian, I shall take this opportunity to wish you and Anne the best of health, happiness and good fortune in the coming year. May you both have a wonderful cruise filled with sunshine, smooth seas and time spent with old friends in Polynesia (especially the lovely, Eline).
On arrival at the Wynyard Hotel, Sydney, you may notice, lurking in the shadows near the hotel entrance, a rather unsavoury looking character with just three betel-stained teeth in his head, wearing a puce-coloured dhoti and carrying a begging-bowl. If so, please do not show any sign of recognition, for to do so will surely 'blow my cover' whilst moonlighting as a secret agent for the Salvation Army (God bless'em). I shall assume that, as time draws near, someone will advise me of the time and place for the next meeting of the Sydney Order of Distressed Seamen ( otherwise known as S.O.D.S).
..........Roger
P.S. Starboard Easy...bring her round and steer for that 'seedy' looking pub on the corner.:th_thth5952deef:
